Exton

Chester County consists of one incorporated city, 15 boroughs, 57 townships and 10 census-designated places (CDPs) and unincorporated villages. Exton is one of these CDPs, meaning that it is defined for data gathering purposes, but is not recognized by Pennsylvania as an entity.

Exton caters to a relatively well-educated resident base. Looking at the population of those aged 25 years and older, more than half of Exton residents hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Almost 20 percent hold a graduate or professional degree. The community’s future high school graduates are well equipped to continue this trend; there are seven colleges and universities within just 30 miles of Exton. The closest are Immaculata College and West Chester University of Pennsylvania (WCU). Both are great options - Immaculata is a small, private Catholic institution and WCU is a well-rounded public university. The other nearby educational institutions are Eastern College, Delaware County Community College, Villanova University, Widener University and Wilmington College.

The climate in Exton is generally cool and moist. Monthly precipitation remains pretty constant throughout the year, ranging between 3.5 inches and 4.75 inches. July and September rainfall come close to the top-end of this range. Temperatures vary from highs in the mid-80s in July to lows in the low 20s in January.
